Rotonda is a quiet residential area near Englewood, midway between Sarasota to the north and Fort Myers to the south. The small town has plenty of shops including Bealls and a 24/7 Wal-Mart, along with numerous restaurants to suit all tastes. The sandy beach at Englewood is approximately 15 minutes drive away and is equipped with toilets and showers as well as play areas and ample parking
Further beaches are nearby at Stump Pass and Blind Pass. Gasparilla Island with the small town of Boca Grande is a few minutes drive away and gives a feel of ‘old world’ Florida
The villa itself backs onto a fresh water canal where ‘catch and release’ fishing is available The 30 miles of canals in Rotonda are home to alligators and turtles, whilst familiar sights could also include armadillos, racoons, any number of birds and the occasional bobcat.

Port Charlotte is a 30-minute drive away and offers a large shopping mall with Dillard’s, Bealls, Sears and J C Penney along with a 16-screen cinema and additional restaurants

Sarasota to the north is a cultural town and also has the Ringling Museum, a Classic Car Museum and Jungle Gardens. St Armand's Circle is home to upmarket shops and restaurants to suit every wallet

Fort Myers to the south is the home of the Henry Ford and Thomas Edison summer villas and well worth a visit
For nature lovers Cedar Point Park in Englewood, Myakka and Oscar Scherer State Parks will allow you to observe native animals and birds in their natural habitats.

Arrival at the Villa:
Car hire is essential but driving is relaxed with automatic cars and air conditioning. Directions from the main airports can be supplied with booking confirmation.
The villa will be cleaned prior to your arrival but should any problems arise our British Management Company in Englewood would be able to give assistance. Key collection is from our management company and out of hours they can be collected from a secure facility.
